Samsung has unveiled its latest mid-range smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A37 and Samsung Galaxy A57, bringing upgrades in design, performance, and AI-powered features.
Design and Display
The Galaxy A57 introduces a slimmer metal frame, measuring just 6.9mm thick and weighing 179g, making it lighter and more premium than its predecessor. It also gains an IP68 rating for improved water and dust resistance.
The Galaxy A37 retains a plastic build but also gets an upgrade to IP68 protection from the previous IP67 rating.
Both phones feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, offering a consistent viewing experience across the lineup.
Performance and Software
The Galaxy A57 is powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset built on a 4nm process, delivering improved performance along with a stronger AI engine. It also includes a larger vapor chamber for better heat management.
The Galaxy A37 runs on the Exynos 1480 chipset, which was previously used in the Galaxy A55.
Both devices run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and come with an extended software commitment of six years of updates, including both OS upgrades and security patches.
The A57 also introduces several AI features, including enhanced photo tools, automatic video trimming, improved object removal, and voice transcription capabilities.
Cameras
Both smartphones come with a 50MP main camera and improved low-light performance. They also share a 12MP front camera for selfies.
The Galaxy A57 includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while the Galaxy A37 features an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Both devices also include a 5MP macro lens.
Battery and Charging
Both models are equipped with 5,000mAh batteries and support 45W fast charging, capable of reaching around 60% charge in about 30 minutes.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A37 starts at $450, while the Galaxy A57 starts at $550 in the United States. The devices are expected to go on sale starting April 9 or 10, depending on the region.
With these upgrades, Samsung continues to strengthen its mid-range lineup by offering premium-like features, long-term software support, and improved performance at competitive price points.
