Saudi Arabia Announces New Short-Term Work Visa

Saudi Arabia has created a new temporary work visa system that enables companies to grant short-term visas for up to three months with the option of extending for an additional three months.

The following procedures must be taken in order to submit an online application for a temporary work visa:

Log in to the company’s Qiwa platform account.
Choose the e-services temporary work visa option.
Submit the request after filling out all the needed fields.

It’s vital to remember that the request can only be made by the employer or a commissioner on a Qiwa business.

The website claims that after a request for an online work visa is made using the Qiwa platform, it would be provided right away without the need for any extra paperwork.

With the exception of those operations that are not required to be registered, the company must be operating and have a valid commercial registration.

Nitaqat level for the business must be at least medium green. A scheme called Nitaqat categorizes businesses according to their Saudization rates.

There shouldn’t be any expired work permits and there should be enough credit in the national unified number of the enterprise on Absher if the company has many companies under the same unified number. Absher is a website that offers different e-services to Saudi Arabian citizens and companies.

There are two possible grounds for denying a visa application. First, determine whether the unified number of the enterprise’s Absher account has an insufficient balance. Secondly, if the Ministry of Interior is the source of the refusal.

Remember that the government payments will be reimbursed to the corporation if the issued visas are canceled. Terms and limitations apply to the refund.
