SBCA Advises People Against Purchase of Unlawful Housing Units
According to recent press reports, the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has issued a warning against purchasing ‘illegal portions/small apartments’ in Karachi’s mushrooming multistory complexes.

Officials of the authority have also indicated that they will take action against the 10 structures in Jamshed Town that include multiple illegal parts or apartments. These buildings were created without the authority of the proper authorities and contain tiny apartments with two or three bedrooms.
It was stated that the developers of these projects will sell the structures to citizens who are unaware of the legal ramifications for a profit.

SBCA authorities warn that unapproved structures are typically built of substandard designs that endanger citizens during natural disasters such as earthquakes. These low-quality houses are built on 100- or 200-yard lots and lack the most fundamental utilities.
