SC’s Ruling on Illegal Constructions in Karachi
In response to the Supreme Court’s (SC) decision to destroy illegal projects in the city, impacted Karachi citizens met with President Dr. Arif Alvi on Tuesday, according to media reports.

During his conversation with the affected individuals, the President stated that amenity plots had previously been utilised for commercial and residential uses with the assistance of the Metropolitan Corporation and departmental authorities.
In addition, the President announced that the court had halted both the construction of buildings on amenity plots and the improper allocation of plots. In addition, he asked the builders to exercise caution when handling such problems.

Residents of Nasla Tower, Aladin Park, and Gujjar Nullah, as well as Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) members and South City Hospital representatives, expressed their concerns to the president. Dr. Alvi responded by assuring the people that he will address their concerns in various forums.
According to court decisions, approximately 900 structures will be demolished, affecting between 40,000 and 50,000 individuals.
