Meanwhile, another earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck the Zhob region of Balochistan, with the epicenter approximately 60 kilometers southeast of Zhob and a depth of 40 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface, according to the Seismological Centre. The tremors in both regions highlight ongoing seismic activity in Pakistan’s mountainous areas.
In related weather updates, the Meteorological Department’s director general announced that the monsoon season in Pakistan is expected to start about a month earlier than usual. Traditionally occurring during July and August, this early onset could have significant implications for the country’s agriculture and water resources management.
