Authorities have imposed Section 144 in Birmal tehsil, South Waziristan Lower, for one day due to security concerns and troop movements.
The restriction will remain in place from 6 am to 7 pm on Monday, during which people have been asked to stay off the roads.
Markets closed, travel suspended
Shops and markets — including the busy Raghzai Bazaar — will stay closed throughout the day. Travel has also been banned on major routes such as Angoor Adda, Zam China, Khamrang, Raghzai, and Sholam to Wana.
Only emergency travel will be allowed, and even then, residents will need prior permission from security forces.
Citizens asked to cooperate
Officials have urged locals to cooperate and follow safety guidelines, including stopping their vehicles 100 metres away if they see military convoys on the move.
Authorities stressed that the restrictions are temporary and have been enforced to ensure security in the region.
