Pakistan’s leading cricket stars are all set to ignite Big Bash League (BBL) 15, as Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan have officially entered the draft pool. With no international commitments for Pakistan between November and February, the players are available for the entire season, making them some of the most attractive prospects for BBL franchises.

The BBL 15 Draft is scheduled for June 19, immediately following the WBBL 11 Draft. Left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi is widely expected to be one of the top picks, especially with Brisbane Heat holding the first overall selection. Afridi’s experience in leagues like the PSL and The Hundred positions him as a marquee signing.

Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan is also available for the full campaign. Known for his reliability at the top of the order, Rizwan’s T20 credentials make him an ideal addition for any team. Haris Rauf, who first made his international breakthrough through the BBL with Melbourne Stars, and all-rounder Shadab Khan, who brings global T20 experience, are also part of the draft pool.

In the women’s draft, Pakistan will be represented by fast-bowling all-rounder Sana Mir. She is eyeing her debut season in the WBBL, hoping to join one of the eight franchises as she competes with international talent.

With over 600 overseas players participating in the BBL 15 draft, competition is intense. However, the full-season availability of top-tier Pakistani players makes them strong contenders to dominate the league. Their participation also serves as ideal preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup in February 2026.
