Both foreign ministers also agreed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. As part of this, Ishaq Dar and Wang Yi jointly unveiled the official logo for the anniversary, formally launching year-long celebrations to mark the milestone.

The previous round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue was held in Islamabad in August, where China reiterated its commitment to working closely with Pakistan for regional development and stability.

As part of his visit, Ishaq Dar held meetings with senior Chinese leaders, including Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang. Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to deepen the all-weather strategic partnership. The Chinese leader appreciated Pakistan’s consistent support for China on its core issues and stressed using the 75th anniversary as an opportunity to build a forward-looking vision for cooperation, particularly under CPEC. He also conveyed New Year greetings to Pakistan’s leadership and people.

Dar also met Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China. He congratulated Liu on the successful 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the steady progress in bilateral relations and discussed party-to-party exchanges, regional developments, and ongoing CPEC projects. They agreed to commemorate the 75th anniversary in a meaningful and inclusive manner.

Upon arrival in Beijing, Ishaq Dar was received by China’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, along with Pakistan’s ambassador to China and officials from the Pakistani Embassy.

In addition to the strategic dialogue, Dar is also attending events marking the beginning of the 75th year of Pakistan–China diplomatic relations. The Foreign Office said the strategic dialogue remains the highest consultative forum between the two countries, providing a structured platform to review cooperation and discuss regional and international matters of shared interest.

The visit reflects the strong commitment of Pakistan and China to further expand their partnership and work together for regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
