SHC Directs to Present Report on Hawke’s Bay Road Project
According to news sources, the Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered the city government of Karachi to provide a report on the status of the Gulbai to Hawke’s Bay road project.

According to reports, the court ordered the Lyari Development Authority’s (LDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Ishaque Khuhro, the Karachi Development Authority’s (KDA) planning and design director, and others to submit a report regarding the clearing of encroachments along the road.
According to the specifics, after hearing Advocate Uzma’s argument, the SHC ordered the authorities to expedite road development and the removal of encroachments in order to maintain the city’s traffic flow.
The petitioner argued that the presence of a truck stop along the route not only adds to road deterioration but also causes traffic congestion and long lines of cars during rush hour.
During the hearing, it was learned that the petition had been submitted to the court in 2019, but no formal response was given. The SHC bench directed the officials to submit a comprehensive report on the project within one month.
