Rainfall across several parts of the country brought much-needed relief from the heat, while also causing damage and disruption in some areas.

In Lahore, evening showers with gusty winds lowered temperatures and eased humidity. Citizens welcomed the pleasant change as rain fell across areas such as Canal Road, Iqbal Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Gulshan Ravi, and Samanabad. Nishtar Town recorded the highest rainfall at 17 mm, followed by Johar Town with 14 mm and Pani Wala Talab with 8 mm. Authorities from WASA and the district administration were put on alert to handle water drainage during the downpour.

In Nankana Sahib, a hotel roof collapsed due to rain near Rice Mills, killing a 60-year-old man named Rehmat Ali. Another person, identified as Jafar, 45, was injured and shifted to the hospital.

In Jatoi and nearby areas, torrential rain brought relief from scorching heat but also caused power outages as several electricity feeders tripped.

In Thatta, ongoing heavy rainfall has worsened conditions for flood-affected residents living in makeshift shelters near the Thatta–Sujawal bridge. Many were seen struggling to protect their belongings as thunderstorms and heavier rain were forecast between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. today.

Karachi also experienced showers in parts of the city, including Malir, Landhi, Korangi, and Shah Faisal Colony, where residents enjoyed the cooler weather. Earlier rainfall was also recorded near the Super Highway and Nooriabad. The Meteorological Department has forecast more rain today and tomorrow across Karachi and adjoining areas.
