After a 12-year break, the Sialkot Express train was formally restored and welcomed with gusto when it arrived at Sialkot Railway Station.
Shehzad Ahmad, a Samaa TV correspondent, provided live coverage from the station, where festivities included dancing, traditional drumming, and showering the train with flower petals as it arrived.
The Sialkot Express would run between Lahore, Wazirabad, and Sialkot, the Station Master said. The itinerary will include the Wazirabad route from Lahore to Sialkot and the return trip from Sialkot to Lahore.
“Today marks the fulfillment of a long-standing demand by the people of Sialkot for the restoration of this train service,” the Station Master continued.
