The district administration has announced a local holiday in Jamshoro on Saturday, February 7, 2025, in connection with the 774th annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA).

According to an official notification issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro, the holiday will apply only within the territorial limits of Jamshoro district. All government offices and public institutions in the district will remain closed for the day.

The notification states that the holiday falls on the 18th of Shaban 1447 Hijri, coinciding with the Urs celebrations. The decision has been taken to facilitate devotees and ensure smooth arrangements during the religious event.

The order was issued under official authority and signed by Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro and Chairman of the District Ushr Committee.

Every year, thousands of devotees from across the country gather to attend the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, one of South Asia’s most revered Sufi saints. The celebrations include prayers, spiritual gatherings, and traditional rituals.

Residents have been advised to plan accordingly, as normal government operations will resume after the holiday.
