The Sindh government has announced a holiday for all educational institutions on March 11 to mark the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), which is observed on the 21st of Ramadan.
According to an official notification, all public and private schools and colleges across Sindh will remain closed on that day. The decision was made based on the recommendations of the Sindh education steering committee’s sub-committee.
Every year, Youm-e-Ali is observed on the 21st of Ramadan across the country. People hold processions, gatherings, and religious events to remember the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).
In another announcement, authorities in Islamabad have declared spring holidays for educational institutions working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).
According to the FDE notification, schools and colleges in the federal capital will observe spring break from March 24 to March 27. Classes will resume on March 30. Teaching staff have also been instructed to complete and announce the results of the in-house annual examinations during this period.
