Sindh Universities Fail to Utilize Development Funds
Nisar Khuhro, the pro-chancellor of Sindh and chief minister’s advisor on boards and universities, expressed his concern over the failure of various regional institutions to carry out development projects despite the availability of cash for their plans.

The meeting’s attendees were informed that just 25% of the desired work on the development projects had been performed, and they were cautioned that the remaining funds might expire if the projects are not finished by the deadline.
The Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University of Law received Rs. 200 million from the Government of Sindh for the development of city campuses, however the school has only spent Rs. 51 million on it.

The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Chair and Convention Center at KU has also received funding in the amount of Rs. 17 million, however the institution has made no expenditures for its construction.
The university administrations did not offer a justification for the delays. To guarantee the timely execution of the schemes, the attendees decided to create a project management unit in the department.
Vice-chancellors, project directors, and other pertinent executives, along with Secretary of Universities and Boards Alimuddin, attended the meeting.
