Site Offices of Three Unauthorized Housing Schemes Destroyed
The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) demolished three unauthorized housing scheme site offices in Rawalpindi. Five site offices were also sealed.

The authority, according to a spokeswoman, has initiated an operation against illegal housing projects and unlicensed buildings.
According to the 2010 Punjab Private Housing Complexes and Land Subdivision Rules, notices were issued to the proprietors of eight illegal housing schemes.
However, he stated that RDA personnel, with cooperation from the police, conducted an operation against the eight illegal housing schemes.

Additionally, the administration urged individuals not to invest in unapproved housing plans. On the RDA’s website — www.rda.gop.pk — the status of any housing project may be viewed.
The spokesperson stated that the RDA has already requested the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL), and the Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) not to provide utility services to unlawful housing developments.
