Six Areas Added to Peshawar Development Authority’s Jurisdiction

Peshawar: According to news reports, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has been given permission to include six more sections of the city within its purview. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan gave the approval.

According to the PDA’s official release, CM presided over the fifth board meeting and gave the organization’s territorial expansion his blessing. Nonetheless, the provincial government will provide its ultimate consent on the matter. The six new areas that will be announced under PDA’s authority are as follows:

Road Kohat (up to Peshawar urban limits)
Road Nasir Bagh (starting from Jamrud Road)
Warsak Street (from Khyber Road till northern by-pass)
Road Charsadda (from Back Khan Chowk up to 7.5 kilometres)
Every area informed about Gandhara City

The PDA currently has jurisdiction over Regi Model Town, Hayatabad, Ring Road, G.T. Road, and the intersection of several highways up till Motorway Plaza.

The authority was informed that it was working on numerous flagship projects at the meeting, which was attended by several high-ranking officials. These initiatives include the Northern Part of the Ring Road, Gandhara City, Diversion Road, and New General Bus Stand.

At the board meeting, the updated estate management fees, payment schedules, and Auction Regulation 2021 were also adopted. Hayatabad’s beautification must be finished by June of current year, per instructions from CM Mahmood to the authorities.
