The PTA reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against IMEI tampering, calling it a serious threat to national security and public safety. Cloned phones can be used for cybercrime, fraud, abductions, and other criminal acts, the authority warned.

The PTA is urging the public to stay alert and report suspicious activity related to phone cloning or IMEI changes. It added that strict legal action will be taken against anyone involved in these illegal practices.
