Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has shared that she and her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal, bought their Mumbai home before getting married. The couple gave fans a glimpse of their nearly completed house in Sonakshi’s latest YouTube vlog, where Zaheer also joined her.
In the video, Sonakshi takes viewers on a home tour, showing the living area, kitchen, and other spaces that have been under renovation for the past nine months. She said the project is now in its final stages and reflects both her and Zaheer’s personal styles.
Zaheer revealed that they began the property purchase long before their wedding and decided to start renovations only after tying the knot. He mentioned they found their interior designer just ten days before the wedding and praised the contractors for finishing the work within nine months.
Adding a fun touch, Zaheer shared some of his unique design wishes, such as a basin where water falls perfectly in the middle and furniture strong enough for people to dance on. Sonakshi laughed at his ideas but explained that she preferred a clean, white, and elegant theme for their interiors.
The couple dated for seven years before marrying in June last year. They first met at a party hosted by Salman Khan, who also launched Zaheer in his 2019 film Notebook. Sonakshi and Zaheer later worked together in the 2022 film Double XL and the music video Blockbuster.
Their wedding took place at their Mumbai home on June 23, followed by a star-studded reception attended by Rekha, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Anil Kapoor, and Aditya Roy Kapur. Now, as their home nears completion, Sonakshi and Zaheer are excited to begin a new chapter of life together.
