In an unusual and entertaining incident, business authorities in Köniz, a megacity near Switzerland’s capital Bern, captured a mallard duck violating the speed limit. The raspberry was clocked at an emotional 52 kilometers per hour in a 30 km/ h zone, driving a roadside speed camera.
The incident happened on April 13 and was verified by the original police who were originally waiting to catch a speeding vehicle. To their surprise, the camera image revealed a duck in full flight. officers vindicated the authenticity of the image, attesting that the radar and camera system are regularly calibrated and secured against tampering by the Federal Institute of Metrology( METAS).

In a curious twist, a nearly identical incident had been recorded in the same spot on the same date back in 2017. That case also involved a mallard duck flying at exactly 52 kilometers per hour. Authorities have ruled out the possibility of a humbug or outfit malfunction in both cases, citing the system’s integrity and strict verification protocols.
While no forfeiture will be issued to the avian hustler, the megacity participated the event as an amusing illustration of the surprises business enforcement occasionally encounters.
