Islamabad: Peace and security in Afghanistan will unleash a business boom in Central Asian republics for Pakistan, and the business sector should prepare to capitalize on these developing prospects, according to President Arif Alvi.
During his address at the 4th ICCI Business Excellence Awards Ceremony 2021, he stated that the country’s economic growth was driven by the business community and that the government was making every effort to facilitate ease of doing business for them.
Alvi acknowledged the importance of the business community’s assistance to those in need during the Covid-19 outbreak. He asked them to focus on brand Pakistan for economic emancipation and coach women in entrepreneurship.
He stated that Pakistan has significant potential for promoting halal meat and IT products exports, and he highlighted that the business community should use these opportunities. He also discussed the potential of tourism and the significance of inclusive growth.

He emphasized that the government should also reduce import levies on industrial technology and machinery in order to modernize the industries and increase exports through the production of value-added goods.
