The Punjab government received notices from the Supreme Court on Tuesday regarding bail requests submitted by the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in cases dated May 9.
The prosecution department was instructed to prepare arguments on the legal issues brought in the case by a three-member bench led by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi. The hearing was postponed until August 19 by the court.
The chief justice stated during the hearings that the court would not render any decisions that would harm the position of any party. At the upcoming session, he requested that the attorneys on both sides help the court with the legal issues.
