Speakers at the second day of the three-day “Colors of Thar” event claimed that Pakistan would change as a result of Thar’s rapid transformation by producing coal-fired electricity to suit the nation’s demands.

In collaboration with SECMC, Thar Foundation, Hubco, Sino Sindh Resources, Shanghai Electric, and a number of other organizations, the district administration arranged the festival.
The District Development Association, Sindh Education Foundation, Thardeep Rural Development Programme, Baanhn Beli, and other government agencies set up booths displaying Thar handicrafts, needlework, and other cultural items.
Reporters were given a tour of the booths by Tharparkar Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Soho, who said that the festival would do much to highlight the district’s rich culture, traditions, history, and numerous other as-yet-undiscovered features.
“We were able to present the beautiful face of Thar by organising this event in partnership with coal mining corporations and NGOs,” he added, adding that the concluding day would take place in Naukot fort.
