This week saw the third straight weekly increase in the price of gold in Pakistan, with a final cost of Rs. 218,500 per tola.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA) provided statistics showing that the price of 24-carat gold climbed by Rs. 900 per tola to Rs. 218,500, while the cost of 10 kilos jumped by Rs. 771 to Rs. 187,328.

On Monday and Tuesday, the price of gold increased by Rs. 400. With today’s increase, the weekly rise comes to 1,700 rupees per tola. The precious metal saw a price increase of Rs. 1,200 per tola last week.

As of 07:29 GMT, spot gold was up 0.1 percent on the international market to $2,042.10 per ounce, while US gold futures showed a 0.2 percent increase to $2,055.90.
