The province’s residents have been inconvenienced by the two-day outage of Punjab’s Motor Vehicle Registration System.
People are unhappy because the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department’s Motor Vehicle Registration System hasn’t worked for the last two days.
Excise officials claim that because the system is presently being revamped, services have been suspended.
According to officials, several tax rates have recently changed, and the system is being updated to reflect these modifications.
Because of this, Punjab’s excise offices are still closed today, leaving residents with little choice but to wait.
“It’s very hard to go to the excise office again in this heat,” a local resident stated.
Additionally, residents expressed dissatisfaction with the excise employees who seemed to be chatting casually rather than attending to public issues.
Another resident proposed scheduling system updates for weekends or public holidays in order to minimize any inconvenience.
The Director of Excise, however, reassured the public that they shouldn’t worry and expressed optimism that the system might be back up by tomorrow.
