Three Miyawaki Forests Scheduled for the Lahore
Lahore: According to news reports, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has plans to establish three dense Miyawaki forest in three different locations under its purview. The estimated final cost of the project is PKR 96 million.

Additionally, LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town, and Mohalanwala are the three places picked for the planting project.
According to sources, the (LDA) has started formal planning to build dense forests in the densely inhabited portions of its held territories. In this regard, a working document to transfer PKR 96 million to the Parks and Horticulture Authority has been produced (PHA).

At the following meeting, the LDA will submit the project’s working paper for the governing body’s approval. The initiative is a component of the federal government’s ongoing efforts to reduce pollution in the nation’s major cities and enhance urban living conditions.
In a similar vein, the Punjab government has selected 51 spots around the provincial capital’s urbanised regions and outlying areas for the planting of forests. In February of this year, the prime minister officially opened Gulberg as Lahore’s first Urban Forest, launching the countrywide plantation and Clean and Green Drive.
