New Conditions Set for Lahore’s Commercial Buildings
Lahore: According to our sources, on Thursday, December 23rd, Captain Muhammad Usman, retired commissioner, sets new requirements for obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for commercial buildings in the Lahore division.

Conditions included making the rooftop 70% green and installing an electric vehicle (EV) charger facility in the parking lot. Moreover, gas stations are required to have a portion for establishing an electric charging facility in order to receive the NOC.
Other conditions include compliance with Environmental Protection Act of Punjab (Amended) regulations and norms, as well as Punjab Environmental Quality Standards (PEQS). Adherence to mitigation procedures designed to minimize negative effects on the groundwater, oil, air, or any other biological resources in the project region.
In addition, monitoring throughout the duration of project activities and submitting monthly monitoring reports to Environment Protection Agency (EPA).
Also included is the maintenance of records to validate the auditable procedures adopted. The treaty also stipulates that untreated wastewater cannot be released into any body of water.
