The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has rolled back the recent fare increase for its Lahore sightseeing bus service, offering relief to tourists and residents alike.
Officials said the decision was taken after a decline in petroleum prices, prompting the authority to withdraw the earlier fare hike in the public interest. As a result, ticket prices for the popular double-decker bus tours have been restored to their previous levels.
An official notification has been issued with the approval of TDCP’s Managing Director, confirming the reversal. Authorities have also directed all relevant departments to immediately implement the updated fares across booking platforms and service points to avoid any inconvenience for visitors.
The Lahore sightseeing bus service remains a key attraction for tourists, offering guided tours of major landmarks across the city. By reinstating lower fares, TDCP aims to make the experience more accessible and encourage greater public participation.
Officials added that the move reflects the government’s broader effort to support tourism and provide relief to citizens, noting that similar steps may be taken in the future to further promote travel and recreational activities in the province.
