ISLAMABAD: While construction industry earnings plummeted by 60%, those from the tourism sector rose by 87%.

In the previous fiscal year, Pakistan’s trade with African countries was $4.44 billion.

The documents state that $19.62 billion in trade was done with Gulf countries. Pakistan’s exports were worth $16.97 billion, while its imports were worth $2.66 billion.

Pakistan’s Middle East-related income grew by 3.2% annually. Imports from the area decreased by 24%.

Additionally, $186,4 million in business was conducted with Afghanistan. Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan were worth $97.2 million, compared to $89.3 million in imports.

$88 million worth of trade was conducted with Iran.

Pakistan’s trade with Central Asian nations is expected to increase once the situation in Afghanistan has stabilized.
