Trishala Dutt, daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, has shared a candid post on Instagram that has sparked discussions about family relationships, respect, and emotional well-being.
In her Instagram Story, Trishala wrote that being related by blood doesn’t automatically mean someone deserves a place in one’s life. She added that, at times, the people who cause the most stress and neglect are those we call “family.”
Her post emphasized that children have the right to walk away from parents or relatives who repeatedly hurt them or make them feel guilty. “Peace of mind is more important than family image,” she wrote, reminding her followers that no one is bound to maintain ties with toxic relatives.
Trishala also highlighted that when parents focus on protecting the family’s reputation instead of their children’s happiness, it often leaves lasting emotional scars. She encouraged people to prioritize their own well-being over maintaining appearances.
Trishala’s journey
Born in 1988 to Sanjay Dutt and his first wife, actress Richa Sharma, Trishala lost her mother to a brain tumor in 1996 and has since lived with her maternal grandparents in the United States. While she has stayed away from Bollywood, her thoughtful social media posts frequently attract attention.
Earlier this month, on her birthday (August 10), Sanjay Dutt shared a warm message for his daughter, writing: “Always proud of you, always love you.”
After Richa Sharma’s passing, Sanjay Dutt married Rhea Pillai in 1998. The couple divorced in 2008, and he later married Manyata Dutt, with whom he has twins, Shahran and Iqra.
