PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa interim administration recently voiced concerns about the proliferation of unlicensed housing projects enticing unsuspecting investors. These businesses, according to the provincial government, are tempting the public to invest without acquiring the required no objection certificates (NOCs).
Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel, the provincial information minister, recently brought attention to the actions of a few Peshawar housing projects, including Citi Housing and Bahria Town, which have started selling forms despite not having received official approval.

Mr. Kakakhel cautioned the populace and emphasized the value of investing only in housing projects that have obtained the necessary approvals. The minister said, “Investments are welcome, but not at the expense of our people’s hard-earned cash.
With further closures predicted in the coming days in light of these developments, other offices connected to such illegitimate enterprises have already been shut down. Investigations have also been opened against housing societies who have not obtained the required NOCs.
The minister urged the people not to purchase forms from projects that have not received approval from the relevant authorities as he concluded his remarks.
