Gunmen opened fire at Utla Police Station in Swabi on Thursday, injuring two police officers, according to Station House Officer (SHO) Utla. In response, police retaliated, and additional forces were deployed to the scene. The exchange of gunfire was ongoing at the time of the report, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Balochistan Incident: In a separate incident, a Levies officer was killed during heavy firing and explosions in the Mangchar area of Kalat district, Balochistan, on Friday. The attackers launched a coordinated assault on multiple locations, including a Levies post in Kot Langove, where the officer lost his life. His body was taken to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Mangchar.

Simultaneously, a powerful explosion occurred under a bridge on the Quetta-Karachi national highway in Rahimabad, Mangchar. Authorities confirmed minor structural damage, but no casualties from the blast.
These incidents have disrupted life and traffic in the affected areas, prompting increased security measures.
