UAE Officially Announces Eid Al-Fitr 2023
After the crescent moon was sighted on Thursday evening, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) formally announced that Eid Al-Fitr will be observed nationwide tomorrow (Friday).

The official news agency, WAM, tweeted the announcement that Friday would be the first day of Eid.
The Shawwal crescent moon was successfully observed on Thursday night, according to Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice and head of the moonsighting committee.
He claims that the declaration was made after reaching out to neighboring nations and meeting all Shariah requirements. The committee declared that Friday, April 21, would be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr and that Thursday, April 20, would be the last day of Ramadan 1444.

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Minister and the members of the committee sent greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Council members, Rulers of the Emirates, and the Crown Princes.
