UAE Will Launch Direct Flights to Skardu to Boost Tourism
Aun Chaudhry, the adviser to the Prime Minister (PM) on Tourism and Sports, recently revealed that the federal government is in talks with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to launch direct flights to Skardu.

Chaudhry led a delegation of 25 members to the 2023 Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, where he stressed that direct flights between Skardu and the UAE would bolster tourism in the northern regions. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed to increase tourism in the country through collaboration with the private sector.

Chaudhry highlighted the need to make it easier for tourists to explore Skardu and other areas with appealing tourist attractions in order to strengthen Pakistan’s tourism sector.
Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), in partnership with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and others, has established a pavilion at the 2023 Arabian Travel Market, which the Pakistani ambassador to the UAE hailed as a significant step towards promoting tourism and improving the country’s global image.
