There will probably be several chances for cricket fans to witness Pakistan and India square off in the near future.
The supporters were dismayed that Saturday’s match between the bitter rivals in Kandy, Sri Lanka, at the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 was cancelled due to rain.
However, in the remaining Asia Cup games, Pakistan and India might clash twice, in the Super 4 and the championship game.

To advance to the Super 4 phase of the Asia Cup, India must win their final group-stage match against Nepal without losing.
The long-standing rivals will also square off in India during the ICC World Cup in 2023.

September 10 – Asia Cup Super Four – Colombo – 2:30pm (PST)
September 17 – Asia Cup Final – Colombo – 2:30pm (PST)
October 14 – ICC World Cup 2023 – Ahmedabad – 1:30pm (PST)
Between August 30 and September 17, the hosts Pakistan and Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup 2023.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to send their team to Pakistan owing to security concerns, hence none of the Asia Cup matches would be played there.
India and Nepal are also in Group A, along with Pakistan. Group B now consists of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka.

There will be four games played in Pakistan and nine, including the championship game, in Sri Lanka.
From October 5 to November 19, 10 teams will compete for the elusive ICC World Cup trophy at 10 different venues. The event will kick off at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
All teams will compete against one another for a total of 45 league matches during the round-robin style Cricket World Cup.
The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, which will take place on November 15 in Mumbai and on November 16 in Kolkata. There will be reserve days for the semifinals and championship.
