US congressional Democrats have released a new batch of photographs linked to the estate of late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as part of an ongoing congressional review.

The House Oversight Committee on Tuesday made public 68 newly disclosed images connected to Epstein. The release follows another disclosure earlier this week, when 19 photographs, including images of former US President Donald Trump, were shared by the committee.

Among the newly released material are two photographs showing Epstein seated next to renowned American linguist and public intellectual Noam Chomsky on an aircraft. Chomsky, who is 97 years old, has appeared previously in Epstein-related documents.

According to the BBC, Chomsky has been referenced in past correspondence linked to Epstein involving academic or personal matters. Chomsky earlier told the Wall Street Journal that Epstein had assisted him in moving money between bank accounts. He stressed that the arrangement did not involve receiving any money from Epstein.

The photo batch also includes an image of a Ukrainian passport, a photograph of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates posing with a woman whose face has been redacted, and a screenshot of text messages that appear to discuss the sending of girls.

House Oversight Committee Democrats did not provide further explanation for these items but confirmed they are part of Epstein’s estate records currently under review.

Several images show handwritten messages on parts of a person’s body. The writing appears to quote passages from Lolita, the controversial novel by Vladimir Nabokov. A copy of the book is visible in the background of one of the released photographs.

The committee said it is reviewing more than 95,000 images obtained from Epstein’s estate and is releasing selected material gradually. Lawmakers stated that the purpose of the disclosures is transparency and public accountability.

In July, the US Justice Department said it found no evidence to justify investigating third parties connected to Epstein. The department also stated that it discovered no “client list,” no proof of broader sex trafficking involving others, and no evidence that Epstein blackmailed individuals.

Despite these findings, the continued release of documents and images has kept public attention focused on Epstein’s network and associations.
