Vicky recalled that he first met Katrina at an award show where he was hosting and she was scheduled to perform. After performing “Chikni Chameli” together on stage, the two crossed paths backstage. It was then that Sunil Grover introduced them for the first time. Vicky said Katrina immediately started giving him hosting tips, even though his part of the show was almost over. He remembered the moment with a smile, calling it a sweet and funny beginning.
Their second meeting happened at another award ceremony, where a scripted segment led Vicky to jokingly propose to Katrina on stage. He asked her why she wouldn’t marry “a nice guy like Vicky,” even though they were not dating at the time. The clip went viral across social media and sparked early rumours about their chemistry.
Vicky also shared a touching memory from the time before they officially started dating. Katrina once recorded herself singing a Punjabi song she loved, believing it was a romantic tune.
