Vivo has unveiled the new Vivo X300s alongside its flagship X300 Ultra, positioning it as a high-performance device between the standard X300 and the premium X300 Pro.
Design and Display
The Vivo X300s features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1260 × 2800 pixels and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Built on an LTPO panel, the screen supports 10-bit colors for richer visuals. While it closely matches the X300 Pro’s display, it does not include Dolby Vision.
The phone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust and water. It also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, and a high-quality vibration motor for improved user feedback.
Performance and Software
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, the X300s delivers flagship-level performance similar to the Pro model. It is supported by advanced cooling solutions, including a large vapor chamber and graphite layers to maintain performance under heavy use.
The device offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also includes Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip to enhance camera processing and image quality.
Camera System
The X300s features a triple rear camera setup:
- 200MP main sensor with a Samsung HPB sensor and Zeiss lens
- 50MP telephoto camera using a Sony Lytia sensor
- 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus
On the front, the phone includes a 50MP selfie camera.
The device also supports an optional Zeiss Photography Kit, which adds a teleconverter lens for extended zoom capabilities and includes additional accessories for photography enthusiasts.
Battery and Charging
The smartphone is equipped with a large 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, offering both long battery life and fast recharging.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X300s is currently available for pre-order in China, with sales starting April 3. Pricing starts at around $720 for the base variant and goes up to $1,010 for the top-tier model, while a bundled version with the photography kit is priced at $1,160.
With its combination of flagship performance, powerful camera hardware, and large battery, the X300s aims to offer a balanced option for users who want premium features without stepping up to the most expensive model in the lineup.
