WASA Rawalpindi to Upgrade Civic Facilities in New UCs
Recently, a news source revealed that the Rawalpindi Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has approved a PKR 2.499 billion plan to rehabilitate sewage infrastructure, create ten new tube wells, and establish new water filtration facilities in the new union councils.

These projects’ development will commence in October and be finished in two phases over the course of two to three months. Work will commence in nine union councils, including Rawalpindi’s newly combined 35 union councils.
Shah Faisal Colony, Chak Jalaladdin One and Two, Chaklala, Girja, and Dhok Hafiz are among the union councils that are more significant. According to the specifics, the WASA would upgrade the Satellite Town sewerage system, launch new water supply schemes in Union Councils 76-78, and establish a new drainage system in Chak Jalaluddin, Mohri, Ghazni, and Girja.

In addition, the authority will upgrade water supply lines and install additional pumps to ensure an uninterrupted water supply in a number of union councils. After these projects are done, the provision of potable water and dependable sewage systems will be resolved in all of these union councils.
