The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning its coaching team for Test cricket. Famous bowler Wasim Akram thinks Younis Khan would be a great coach for Pakistan’s Test team.

At an event in Karachi, Wasim said Pakistan needs new ideas for Test cricket. He said Younis knows Test cricket well and can help young players learn the right way to play.

PCB has already hired Mike Hesson for the white-ball team. But they still need a new coach for the Test team after Jason Gillespie left. Aqib Javed is the temporary coach now.

No official decision has been made yet, but Wasim’s support could make PCB think about choosing Younis.

Younis Khan is 47 years old. He was a very patient and strong batsman, scoring over 10,000 runs in Test matches. He has also worked as a coach before, including for Pakistan and Afghanistan teams.

Wasim Akram says Pakistan needs a coach who understands the hard work and patience needed in Test cricket. He believes Younis is the right person to help the team get better.
