Weather Alert: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Northern Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain and strong winds in Islamabad and nearby areas over the next 24 hours.

According to the latest forecast, rain and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum. Similar weather conditions are likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Swat, Dir, Chitral, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan, and others.

In Punjab, cities like Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Mianwali, and Jhang are expected to receive rain with strong winds. Heavy rain and hailstorms may hit some areas, which could cause urban flooding or traffic disruptions.

Meanwhile, Sindh will remain hot and dry, but coastal regions may face dusty winds in the afternoon.

In Balochistan, most areas will see hot and dry weather, though light rain is possible in Zhob, Khuzdar, Barkhan, and Lasbela.

The PMD advises people to take precautions, especially in areas expecting heavy rain, hailstorms, or strong winds.
