Pakistanis will probably mark the first day of the holy month on Monday, March 11, as Muslims throughout the world get ready for the celebrations and prayers of Ramadan.
On March 09, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet to decide when Ramadan-ul-Mubarak will begin. Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad will chair the meeting, which will be attended by other academics and representatives from the Religious Affairs Ministry.

Additional technical assistance will come from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Meteorologists predict that the first day of Ramadan will fall on March 11 and that there is little probability of seeing the moon in Pakistan on March 10.
