Work on RS 44 Billion Cities Development Program Phase 1
According to news sources, Punjab Secretary Local Government (LG) Noor-ul-Amin Mengal stated that the first phase of the PKR 44 billion Cities Development Programme is nearing completion in Sahiwal and Sialkot.

According to Megal, the second phase of the project will include development plans for Sargodha, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, and Multan. The status of the Punjab Cities Program and the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Program were also discussed at the meeting.
Under the Punjab Cities Program, the establishment of municipal infrastructure is being carried out in 16 cities across the province at a cost of PKR 34 billion, the secretary informed the conference.
Under this program, infrastructure development and city enhancement projects such as water supply, sewerage, waste management, public parks, and installation of street lighting will be carried out. These developments will adhere to worldwide criteria for development.

Minister Rasheed commanded the necessary agencies to expedite and complete the development projects within the allotted timeframes.
