YouTube Earnings Are Haram: Saudi Scholar
Asim al-Hakim, a Saudi scholar and the imam of the Jeddah Mosque, has deemed YouTube revenue to be unlawful.
Abdul Maqtadir, a Twitter user, questioned Asim al-Hakim on the morality of receiving money through YouTube. Asim al-Hakim, a scholar, responded by writing that it is regarded as haram.

In his reply, Asim al-Hakim omitted to elaborate on the prohibited nature of YouTube revenues. However, a comment he posted four years ago on his YouTube channel is still accessible.
