Renowned Pakistani YouTuber and chef Mubashir Siddique, who belongs to the small village of Shah Pur in Punjab, has revealed surprising details about the earnings from one of his most viral videos.
In a recent upload featuring a camel roast, Mubashir Siddique attracted millions of views across social media platforms. However, despite the massive reach, the video turned out to be a financial loss rather than a profit.
Responding to viewers’ questions in his latest video, Mubashir explained that the total production cost of the camel roast video was around Rs 350,000. This included expenses related to ingredients, preparation, filming, and overall logistics.

He clarified that his TikTok and Instagram accounts are not monetised, meaning he earns no revenue from those platforms. As a result, even though the video received about 13 million views on Instagram and 8 million views on TikTok, it generated zero income from both.
Mubashir said his earnings came only from Facebook and YouTube. According to him, Facebook generated $543 from the video, while YouTube brought in just $59. This made the total income $602, which is approximately Rs 170,000 — less than half of the production cost.
Due to this gap, the video resulted in a clear financial loss. Mubashir Siddique added that while some of his videos perform very well financially, others fail to recover even their basic costs, highlighting the unpredictability of earnings in content creation despite viral success.
