Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Saturday that the provincial government is strictly enforcing a zero-tolerance policy to control air pollution across Punjab.

In her statement, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), district administration, and all relevant departments remain active in the field at all times to ensure effective implementation of environmental measures.

She said monitoring of industrial emissions, brick kilns, and transport has been further tightened, adding that modern monitoring systems are being used to track the Air Quality Index (AQI) across cities on a real-time basis.

The senior minister said public cooperation has played an important role in making anti-smog and environmental measures effective. She stressed that collective efforts are essential to achieve long-term improvements in air quality.

Marriyum Aurangzeb reiterated that the Punjab government remains fully committed to its goal of clean air and that enforcement actions will continue without interruption.
