133 Sites Nominated for Low-Cost NPHP Schemes in Punjab
Lahore: A meeting organized by video link and chaired by Punjab Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar discussed the construction of an affordable housing project for the less fortunate citizens of Pakistan, according to the sources.

The construction of low-income housing is the flagship program of the government today.
The meeting was conducted through the meeting link, while discussing the key features of the affordable housing project, it also discussed the identified locations where these housing projects will be developed. .

The construction of these houses will be carried out in various phases and in the first phase of the project, 54 sites have been completed. Out of these 54 locations, development work on 32 sites will be prioritized for deployment. The minister also said at the meeting that 10 such projects will begin development simultaneously in Raiwind, Lahore and that Prime Minister Imran Khan will personally initiate.
Talking about the details of the project, CM Usman Buzdar told the meeting that Punjab has funded PKR 3 billion to start the development of the project in different selected locations. The size of the house has been changed from the previously selected standard 3 marla to 3.5 marla and the applicant can get a grant from the Bank of Punjab (BOP).

The price of each housing unit will be PKR 1.43 million, of which 10% will be paid by the applicant and the rest will be financed by the bank in the form of an easy PKR 10,000 monthly installment. Ownership of the houses will be transferred to the owners for a short period of 1 year. Work was conducted at various locations in Punjab including Sargodha, Chiniot, Lahore, DG Khan, Khushab, Mianwali and Khaneywal.
