3-day ICCI Property, Housing & Construction Expo 2021 Ends
According to news reports, the three-day Housing & Construction Expo 2021 hosted by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has concluded. Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan inaugurated the expo to boost the nation’s building industry.

At the inauguration event, the prime minister stated that the property and real estate sector had created the most jobs, with millions of people directly and indirectly involved. He stated that the government is making it easier for real estate developers to provide affordable housing for 220 million people by removing obstacles.
In this regard, the country has introduced the housing mortgage strategy to address the housing shortage. PM Khan advised the country’s real estate developers to rely less on imports and more on domestic resources.
In addition, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that the issue of lease renewal for industrial units in Islamabad would be resolved at a meeting of the National Coordination Committee on Construction (NCCC).

President of the ICCI, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, announced the construction of one million homes under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme of the Prime Minister.
There were representatives from commercial banks, the Board of Investment, the State Bank of Pakistan, construction-related industries and businesses such as real estate developers, marketing firms, cement, marble, tiles, electronics, and cable, among many others, at the conference.
