3-Day Overseas Convention to Be Held in March
Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led administration has reportedly agreed to host the nation’s first conference of expatriate Pakistanis in March. The three-day event will take place in Islamabad, with Prime Minister Imran Khan addressing international attendees.

According to sources, PTI Overseas Secretary Dr. Abdullah Riar met with Planning and Development Minister Asad Umer to discuss the location and other convention-related issues. A large number of foreign citizens and expatriates are confirmed to attend the event.
The conference will showcase investment prospects for non-resident Pakistanis and their contribution to the country’s economic growth. It was also reported that the event will focus on the implications of providing expatriates voting rights and the future of the country.

The government has initiated a number of international real estate development projects, including a USD 2 billion housing project in Islamabad. The scheme is one of nine initiatives designed for Pakistanis living overseas who can purchase property in Pakistan using their “Roshan Digital Account (RDA)”.
