Address Reservations of Affectees over New Balakot City Project
According to news reports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has directed the relevant ministries and agencies to address the concerns of landowners and those affected by the 2005 earthquake in reference to the New Balakot City project.

CM Mahmood Khan made the aforementioned statements while presiding over a meeting to assess the progress of the New Balakot City project. The participants at the meeting reviewed the obstacles associated with the implementation of the project and decided on a future course of action to accelerate the project’s progression.
The recommendations of the committee constituted under the direction of the Hazara division commissioner were also considered during the meeting.

In addition, the participants of the meeting explored several options for the project’s implementation, such as government-to-government models and public-private partnerships.
The Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) and relevant provincial departments would make plans for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s approval, as said.
