AGP Launches Audit Management Information System
The department of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) has simultaneously deployed the Audit Management Information System at three audit offices.

The AGP, with the aid of the World Bank (WB), has developed a system to computerise the reporting of all audit processes, including planning, scheduling, and execution, which were previously performed manually.
The field audit teams will be connected to the audit management tiers of AGP in real-time, enabling transparency and close monitoring of field audit operations.
In addition, the system would make it easier for auditors to maintain in-depth risk profiles of government agencies, allowing them to concentrate on high-risk firms.

Auditors will be encouraged to obtain internationally recognised certifications and qualifications in order to increase their capacity for conducting such audits.
The department is also working on a memorandum of understanding with CIPFA and PIPFA to assist its employees in strengthening their qualifications and offering them the option to become full-fledged chartered accountants in the public sector.
